Growing up I was never the athletic kid, but in adulthood I decided to challenge myself to get out there and get active. I have moved my body and still move my body in many ways including: weight lifting, running, kickboxing, and dance. My view of my health and my confidence changed when I started incorporating nutrition planning into my life. I work in the helping professions by day in my counseling practice by helping my clients improve their mental health. I want to help others learn to improve their physical health, as well.
Consistency is key to successful change. This is something I have learned in my own life, as well as in my training as a counselor. I want to help you find the small, realistic changes that can make a big impact in your daily life to help you reach your goal. Some times these goals are driven by physical markers, but we can also focus on other goals such as getting more involved with your family or living life dreams like traveling.
I work with clients of all skill levels and experiences levels. I have been in your shoes. I remember my first time at the gym feeling awkward and scared. I also remember my first time meal prepping and grocery shopping for nutrition. These are milestones we can discuss together in our coaching sessions.
